Wisbech St Mary Ladies had to wait until the last minute to secure all three points with the only goal of the game. Saints had started brightly and Laura Burns put the home defence under pressure after only the first minute. Anna Smith then also went close with a powerful shot. After 23 minutes Lucy Oakley put a great ball through to Kerri Sammon who's run and cross was fired over by Anna Smith.

In the second half Saints stepped up a gear and soon forced 3 corners in succession. Jemma Simpson and Laura Burns also had chances saved by the Yaxley keeper. Yaxley then came back into the game and Carley Oakley had to make two great saves to deny them taking the lead. Regaining the initiative Saints forced more corners and in the final minute Lauren Mowbray crossed to Kerri Sammon who then calmly shot in to make it 1 - 0 to the Saints.
